HTTPS for your domain if you have your own website

You can add your store to any website or blog and rest assured that your customers’ data is secured.

If you added store to your own website that doesn’t have an SSL certificate, your store data is still secure, but your customers will not see the secure "lock" icon in the browser address bar, which they might find unsafe.

To show the secure "lock" icon in your customers' browsers, your whole site must be running via HTTPS, so you need to buy and install an SSL certificate.
