Digital products and shipping

In your store you can sell digital products like audio and video files, graphics, e-books, software or any other files.

 

Digital products (e-goods) do not require physical shipping and are delivered to customers online – the buyer receives an email notification with a link to download the purchased item.

Creating e-goods

To create a digital product (e-good):

1. Go to your store Control Panel → Catalog → Products.
2. Click Add new product or select an existing item that you want to make digital.
3. Uncheck the option Requires shipping or pickup under the General tab.

1. Switch to the Files tab and upload the items you want to sell.

1. Click Save to apply the changes.

The product will be marked as digital and, when it’s added to cart, the shipping step will be skipped at checkout. When the order is paid, the customer will get an email notification with a unique link to download the purchased goods.

Configuring e-goods delivery

To configure the online delivery of e-goods:

1. Go to your store Control Panel → Settings → General → Cart & Checkout.
2. Find the E-goods block.

1. Fill out the Link lifetime field to set the time period, when the download link is active.
2. Fill out the Number of download attempts field to set the limit of the download attempts.
3. Click Save to apply the changes.
